Nancy Carol Ackerman, 71, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away Tuesday morning, June 28, 2011, at her daughter's residence in Harleton, Texas.

Mrs. Ackerman was born Dec. 3, 1939, in Waterloo, to Fern Atwood and Erma Crockett.

She is the mother of Kenny Ackerman of Cedar Falls, Barbara Gleason of Harleton and Scott Ackerman of Spokane, Wash.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. No services are planned.
