WATERLOO - Kathleen "Miss Kitty" Rumley, 72, of 2213 Clearview St., died Saturday, May 28, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born July 19, 1938, in Pershing, daughter of Raymond and Birthell Taylor Rumley.

Ms. Rumley was formerly employed at CCC Quality Cleaning.

Survived by two daughters, Gilda M. Winston and Mia Brown, both of Waterloo; a son, Gilbert Lee Winston of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Carol (Michael) Bruce, Joesther (Johnnie) Bryson and Vickie Rumley, all of Pershing, and Danna Lee Burnside of Minneapolis; and a brother, Raymond (Naomi) Rumley Jr. of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Burt, Marjorie Parker and Beverly Winfrey; and three brothers, Thomas, Richard and William.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Corinthian Baptist Church, Waterloo, with burial in Zion Cemetery, Pershing. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 2213 Clearview St., where they will receive friends.
