EVANSDALE - Barbara Sue Gaede, 70, of Evansdale, died at home Monday, May 23.

She was born April 2, 1941, in Crumpler, W. Va., daughter of Fitzhugh Lee and Sarah Imogene Reed Parks. She married Darrell Gaede on Feb. 11, 1963, in Mound, Minn.

Mrs. Gaede was employed with Waterloo Industries and John Deere, also the Cedar Falls Western Home, Black Hawk County Court House and Country View Care Center.

Survived by her husband; three sons, Ed Cobb of Dallas, Texas, Phill (Sally) Cobb of Plano, Texas, and Todd (Kathy) Gaede of Waterloo; two daughters, Cindy (Dr. Rick) Taylor of Henderson, Texas, and Lori (Pete) Gaede-Neidt; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carleen Galloway and Maxine Alcott, both of Waterloo; and a brother, Dick Neunkirk of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Frank, Tom and Phil Parks and Jack Neunkirk; a sister, Geraldine Swain; and her stepfather, Carl Neunkirk.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Compassus Hospice.
