WATERLOO - Eileen S. Guyer, 95, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, May 23, at Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls.

She was born April 15, 1916, in Wright County, daughter of James and Etta Burke Whitty. She married Floyd Guyer on June 25, 1942, in Clarion. He died May 13, 1981.

Mrs. Guyer worked as a waitress at the Cozy Inn and also at Black's Tea Room for many years.

Survived by two nieces, Jeanne (John) Mullen of La Porte City and Susan (Bruce) McFarlane of Tampa, Fla.; and three nephews, Ron (Mary) Heinzman of Milan, Ill., Mike (Pam) Heinzman of Sugarland, Texas, and Tom (Linda) Heinzman of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Francis in 1970; three brothers, James Jr., James III and Leo (Helen) Whitty; and five sisters and a brother-in-law, Sister Loretta Whitty, Alice and Bill White, Genevieve Whitty, Margaret Ann Whitty and Marcella Heinzman.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
