WATERLOO - Lewis Kie Davis, 86, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 15, in Bradenton, Fla.

He was born Dec. 8, 1924, in Battiest, Okla., son of Rube and Chloe Davis. In 1946 he married Bobbie Sue Parsons. She died in January 1981. He later married Dorothy Laughridge in December 1981.

Mr. Davis graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1953 and immediately went to work for John Deere in Waterloo as a design and R&D engineer, retiring in 1982.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Glen (Nancy) of Whitesboro, Texas, and Dale of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Linda of Nashville and Anna of Goettingen, Germany; three grandchildren; and two brothers, John of Eugene, Ore., and Grobin of Hugo, Okla.

Preceded in death by a son, Neal.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
