WATERLOO - Lee A. Jewett, 78, of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 15, at Allen Hospital.

He was born July 5, 1932, in Westgate, son of Howard and Mary Morris Jewett. He married Betty Heim on Nov. 8, 1951, in Dubuque.

Mr. Jewett was a purchasing agent with Clay Equipment, Cedar Falls, for 30 years.

Survived by his wife; a son, Craig of Waverly; two daughters, Regina (Jerry) Dahl of Clinton and Joan Summerhays of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne (Irene) and Dean (Eileen), both of Dubuque; and a sister, Wanda Luebke of Galena, Ill.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lee Ann; and a brother, Howard Jr.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 5 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
