WATERLOO - Velva Gustafson, 91, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 14, at Manor Care Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born July 26, 1919, in Eagle Grove, daughter of Fred and Etta Reiher Vose. She married Robert I. Gustafson on Jan. 8, 1937, in Waterloo. He died Oct. 30, 1986.

Mrs. Gustafson was a 50-year member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survived by a son, Herbert W. (Carol) of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Greg Gustafson and Karla Berry, both of Waterloo; five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sean, Andrew and Allison Berry, and Whitney Gustafson; and two great-great-grandsons, Keegan and Kylar Berry.

Preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, William P. Robinson; and a sister, Rena Leeper.

Memorial services 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with private family burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
