CEDAR FALLS - Vaughn Wayne Rich, 45, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Finchford, died Friday, May 13, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo of cancer.

He was born July 19, 1965, in Cedar Falls, son of John E. and Vicky J. Smith Rich. He married Denise K. Hansen Dec. 2, 1993, in Waterloo. She died July 29, 2009.

He attended the Cedar Falls School System. Mr. Rich worked for Hansen Auto Salvage and Lawless Auto Salvage. In 1999, he worked for Drain Doctor in Waterloo, retiring in 2010.

Survived by a son, Curtis of Cedar Falls; a stepson, Ronnie Siebrands of Mason City; a stepdaughter, Tandi Siebrands of Waterloo; four grandchildren; his parents, John and Vicky Rich of Finchford; two sisters, Dawn (Russell) Knudsen of Waverly and Vanette (Jason) Hunemueller of Tripoli; a brother, Sean of Waterloo; his mother-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.

Preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dennis Hansen; and a brother-in-law.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Finchford Community Bible Church, Finchford, with burial in Finchford Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family, where a memorial direction will be established at a later date
