EVANSDALE - Laurinia Pasley, 95, of Evansdale, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, May 13, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was born March 18, 1916, in Algona, daughter of John Hardy and Adeline Mitchell Rickard. She married Floyd Pasley Aug. 7, 1934, in Canton, S.D. He died Dec. 6, 1993.

She graduated from high school in Algona. She worked in the retail business for many years in Waverly and was a housekeeper at Windsor Nursing Home. She received a certificate of completion as an activities director at Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo and was an activity director at Borum Nursing Home. She provided private care for the Adams family in Waterloo after retirement.

Survived by a daughter, Janice (Wendell) Nolting of Cedar Falls; a son, Michael (Glenda) of Readlyn; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter; and nine siblings.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mausoleum Chapel at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. There will be no visitation as her body was cremated. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home of Waverly is in charge of arrangements.
