CEDAR FALLS - Bonnie Mae Turner, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, May 6, at her daughter's home in Austin, Texas.

She was born April 16, 1934, in Waterloo, daughter of Lester and Ivadean Haack Lutz. She married Orlando "Bill" Turner on Jan. 23, 1955, at St. John Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. He died Jan. 20, 1993.

Mrs. Turner graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and taught second grade in the Hudson Community School District, retiring in 1997.

Survived by two sons, John C. of Cedar Falls and Brian W. (Jane) of Clive; three daughters, Susan L. (Steve) Petersen of Hudson, Kathryn L. (Jerry) Ellis of Austin and LeAnn M. (Tom) Vetter of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren, Angela Miller, Nicole (Chad) Bergmeier, Timothy (Katy) Petersen, Andrew and Laura Turner, Nicholas, Natalie and Taylor Ellis, and Alec and Ailish Vetter; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Deborah (Tom) Carney of Arvada, Colo., and Victoria Robinson of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Nathan Redden.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Cedar Bend Humane Society or Christian Crusaders.
