WATERLOO - John G. Dixon, 73, of Waterloo, died Saturday, April 30, at Allen Hospital.

He was born Sept. 6, 1937, in Aitkin, Minn., son of Frank and Evelyn Dixon. He married Louise King on Dec. 14, 1964, in Preston, Minn. She died Nov. 10, 2007.

Mr. Dixon served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and owned and operated an over-the-road truck service.

Survived by two sons, Bill of Waterloo and Kevin of Oelwein; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services: will occur at a later date in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, is assisting the family.
