DAVID LEE LONGNECKER

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kearns-Dykeman chapel for David Lee Longnecker, 73, of 4736 E. Washburn Dr., Washburn, who died Wednesday at Schoitz Memorial hospital of cancer.

The Rev. S. Lusthoff, pastor of Calvary Baptist church, will officiate and burial will be in Midwest Garden of Memories.

Mr. Longnecker was born June 2, 1900, in Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of David Edwin and Esther B. Dunn Longnecker. He married Mrs. Martha Bradfield in Grundy Center in 1925. They were later divorced, and he married Mrs. Beryl Jeffries on February 23, 1951 in Waterloo. He had been a resident of Waterloo since 1933.

He was employed as a lable truck driver at the John Deere Tractor Works for 19 years before retiring in 1965, and was a member of Local 838 of the UAW.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Dale of Dexter, Missouri, and Gene of 1053 Belle St., two stepsons, Philip Bradfield of Burbank, Calif., and Donald Bradfield of Pequot Lake, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Billie Griffith of Valrico, Florida, and Mrs. Gordon Reisinger of Bushnell, Florida; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Gene DuBois of Rt. 5, Mrs. Douglas Sowers of Fredericksburg, and Mrs. Janet Bonk of Holland; 12 grandchildren, 23 step-grandchildren, and 22 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
