Susan M. Risse, 50, of Waterloo, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born May 22, 1957 in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, the daughter of Richard S. and Frances E. (Edwards) Douglas. Susan was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory Risse, of Fern, Iowa; her father, Dick Douglas, of Cedar Falls, and two sisters, Lynn (Terry) Flynn of Zion, Illinois and Karen (Dave) Byerly of Exton, Pennsylvania.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother.

A Gathering will be 1:30—3:00 pm Thursday, March 27, at the United Church of Christ in Cedar Falls, where a service will be conducted at 2:00 pm. Memorials may be directed to the church.
