CEDAR FALLS - Naomi Ruth Bonorden, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, April 22, at Allen Hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1931, in Bennington Township, Black Hawk County, daughter of Theodore and Martha Schutte Diercks. She married Virgil O. Bonorden May 11, 1952, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Readlyn. He died Feb. 25, 1996.
She graduated from Readlyn High School in 1949. She worked at Carnation in Waverly for seven years and was a nurse.
Survived by three sons, Brian (Linda) of Rutherford College, N.C., Kevin (Cindy) of Grundy Center and Monte (Cindy) of Waterloo; a daughter, Kerri (Tony) Gamerdinger of Dunkerton; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lorraine Diercks of Janesville and Burton (Sharon) Diercks of Denver; two sisters, Lois Golz of Lombard, Ill., and Janice (Cliff) Israel of Waterloo; a brother-in-law; and a sister-in-law.
Preceded in death by three brothers, Lavern "Hank" Diercks, Jeroyd Diercks in infancy and Eldon Diercks.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Denver. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver.
