WARREN GLASGOW
DIED YESTERDAY

Typhoid Fever Claims as Victim
Former Young Business Man
of Waterloo.

After an illness which continued for comparatively a brief time, Warren C. Glasgow died last evening at 4:4 5 o'clock at the home of his mother and sister on Grant avenue. The immediate cause of his death was typhoid fever, following an attack of measles, which he suffered shortly after going to Brewster; Minnesota, where he was engaged in looking after real estate holdings of W. J. French. He apparently recovered from the measles, but he suffered, a relapse which he did not regard with sufficient seriousness to quit work altogether. Typhoid fever developed and on the tenth of this month he was compelled to return to Waterloo, going immediately to the home of his mother, Mrs. Margaret K. Glasgow, where he also had the attention of his sister, Miss Margaret.

Mr. Glasgow never showed any improvement after arriving home and his case was indeed a severe one. The last several days he was unconscious most of the Lime.

The deceased was born in Mt. Vernon Township August 9, 1878.

His father was Henry C. Glasgow, a pioneer of Black Hawk county, and who died same seven years ago. The family came to Waterloo in the beginning of the year 1905, and Mr. Glasgow was immediately engaged in business following several lines. At one time he was proprietor of the
Calumet grocery store. It was last April that he engaged in the service of Mr. French of one of the local trust companies to take care and superintend that gentleman's farming interests in Minnesota..

Mr. Glasgow was. highly esteemed in business circles and he was a man of, staunch integrity and unusual activity either in his own interests or those with whom he associated. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church and joined in its councils and general work. His death will be a distinct shock to those friends who had not. been informed of his critical condition for the past
several days.

Funeral services will be conducted from the United Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, Rev, Fred Elliott in charge. Interment will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
