The funeral services over the remains of Miss Lela Allen, who died Monday morning at Downer's Grove, Illinois, and whose remains were brought to Waterloo for burial, occurred this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home on Washington Street. Reverend J. W. Martin, of Lincoln, Nebraska, a particular friend of the young lady, preached the sermon, and the remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.

The services were attended by a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives of the family.

Reverend Martin was assisted in the service by Reverend Frank L. Loveland of the First M. E. Church of waterloo, of which church Lela was a member.
