CEDAR FALLS - Gauge Allen Beck, 1-day-old son of Rick Allen and Melissa Jayne Thoms Beck, died Saturday, April 2, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born April 1, 2011, in Waterloo.

Survived by his parents of Cedar Falls; a brother, Clayton; a sister, Kaitlyn Thoms; maternal grandfather, Duane Thoms of Waterloo; paternal grandparents, Kim Beck of Waterloo and Alva Hamann of Maynard; and maternal great-grandmothers, Ann Malfield of Melborne and Grace Thoms of Reinbeck.

Preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Leita Thoms; paternal grandparents, Marvin and Betty Beck, and Stanley VanBrocklin.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Logan Cemetery, rural Melbourne. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo.
