CEDAR FALLS - Dorothy M. Garth, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, April 2, at the Western Home Communities Martin Center.

She was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Dubuque, daughter of Howard and Dora Meyer Metcalf. She married George Garth on Aug. 29, 1940, in Nashua. He died Dec. 30, 1984.

Mrs. Garth was head of the lunch program at the Cedar Falls Community School District for 30 years, retiring in 1983.

Survived by two daughters, Judy Estabrook of Cedar Falls and Joyce (Larry) Goodrich of Cherokee; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacey Goodrich; a son-in-law, Bruce Estabrook; and a brother, James Metcalf.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
