WATERLOO - William F. "Bill" Farley, 82, of Waterloo, died Monday, March 28, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Manchester, son of Francis and Florence Edwards Farley. He married Darliss Bonwell on July 13, 1963, in Minneapolis.

Mr. Farley graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1947. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War from 1950-52. He was a member of the Waterloo American Legion Post 138.

He was a barber by profession and owned and operated his own shop for 50 years.

Survived by his wife; a son, John (Geri) of Sergeant Bluff; a granddaughter, Bonita Farley of Sergeant Bluff; two brothers, LeRoy (JoAnn) of Ida Grove and Leon (Elaine) of Vista, Calif.; two brothers-in-law, Carl Decklar of Hillsboro, Ore., and Wayne Shepard of Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Decklar and Gertrude Shepard.

Services 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with inurnment at a later date. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway and also for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice in lieu of flowers.
