David was born January 24, 1941, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of William R. and Esther Kathryn (Bernett) Donaldson. He died Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at ManorCare Health Services in Waterloo.

He graduated from both Waterloo East High School and the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epilson Fraternity. He was employed at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works as a foreman in the inventory control department, retiring in 1992 after 30 years of service.

David is survived by his mother of Cedar Falls; two aunts, Midge Riley of Austin, TX and Marjorie (Barney S.B.) Holtkamp of Shell Rock; uncle, Arthur (Wilma) Bernett of Burnsville, MN;

He was preceded in death by his father; and an uncle, Howard W. Riley.

Funeral Services 11 AM Monday, September 15, 2003 at Richardson Funeral Home.
