LA PORTE CITY — Mary E. "Mick" Dilley, 86, of Cedar Falls, formerly of La Porte City, died Sunday, March 13, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.

She was born June 22, 1924, in Eagle Center, daughter of Harry and Eva Marie Snodgrass O'Neill. She married Joseph W. "Curley" Dilley on Aug. 15, 1942, in Lancaster, Mo.

She retired from Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Waterloo as a nurse's aide after many years.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Richard W. (Connie) of Solon and John (Kelly) Combs of Mechanicsville, Va.; a sister, Rose (Bud) Muschick of Clemens; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Edward and William O'Neill; two sisters, Lucille Dierks and Sarah Verch; and a grandson.

Services 10:30 a.m. Thursday at American Lutheran Church, with burial in West View Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at La Porte City Funeral Service and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family or the Arthritis Foundation.
