DUNKERTON — Evelyn Mildred Salisbury, 96, of Dunkerton, died Wednesday, March 9, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 12, 1914, in Fairbank, daughter of Nicholas and Gertrudis Faber Kerns. She married Leonard Salisbury on Jan. 17, 1935, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank. He died in 1975.

Mrs. Salisbury was a homemaker.

Survived by a daughter, Darlene Nation (Rick) of Waterloo; two sons, Donald (Jean) of Burlington and Ronald (Betty) of Dunkerton; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Newton of Oelwein.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Bayness and Beverly and Doris Kerns; and a brother, Bill Kerns.

Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Catholic Church, Fairbank, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Wood's Funeral Home, Fairbank, with a 3:30 p.m. parish rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture service.
