CEDAR FALLS - Louise M. Eckerman, 96, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, March 1, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 28, 1914, in rural Cedar Falls, daughter of Oluf Kristian and Marie Magdalena Pfieffer Jensen. She married Lloyd Calvin Eckerman on May 28, 1933, in Cedar Falls. He died June 23, 1999.

Mrs. Eckerman and her husband owned and operated Eckerman's Grocery Store, Cedar Falls, from 1937 to 1949.

Survived by two sons, Don (Barbara) of Washburn and Duane (Teri) of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Darlene (David) Boggs of Spring, Texas, Deanna Eckerman of Cedar Falls and Delila (David) Nielsen, of Watertown, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter; a brother, Herman Jensen; and two sisters, Frieda Jensen and Elizabeth Frerking.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with private burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
