HUDSON — Robert A. "Bob" Dietz, 74, of Hudson, died Thursday, Sept. 15, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born June 6, 1931, in Nashua, son of Alvin H. and Eleanor M. White Dietz.

He married Marlene Biekert on June 20, 1954, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. Mr. Dietz served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Allen (Regina) of Hudson and Rick (Carol Hansell) of Ames; a daughter, Darlene (Bob) Taylor of Georgetown, Ky.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild; three brothers, Eldon (JoAnn) of Tipton, Gene of Nashua and Dean (Jeanie) of Dumont; and three sisters, Florence Hatzky and Lucille Dorwin, both of Cedar Falls, and Shirley Diesburg of Nashua.Preceded in death by: three brothers, Kenneth, Wayne and Wendell; and two sisters, Lois Dietz and Kathleen Key.Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and for an hour before services Monday at the church. Military rites will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
