CEDAR FALLS - Clara M. Mason, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Feb. 18, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.

She was born May 6, 1927, in Dundee, daughter of Henry F. and Mary Eschen Vierow. She married Thomas W. "Tom" Mason Oct. 11, 1947, in Cedar Falls.

Mrs. Mason was employed by Bolser Corp. for 20 years. She also worked at Hinson Manufacturing for 17 years until it closed in 1981.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Marilyn E. Betts of Waterloo and Rhonda R. (Kenneth) Schrage of Waverly; a sister, Irene Hansen of Longmont, Colo.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alfred, Frank, and Joachim Vierow; and a grandchild in infancy.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.
