WATERLOO - Doris D. Weltz, 82, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Sumner, died Thursday, Dec. 30, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 9, 1928, in Waterloo, daughter of Vern Leroy and Esther C. Buechele Oren. She married Dale Everett Roszell in August 1947 in Lancaster, Mo., and they later divorced. She married Ron T. Weltz in 1969 in Milwaukee, and they later divorced.

Ms. Weltz graduated from La Porte City High School in 1946. She was head of customer service with Overton Chemical Co., which later became Hydrite Chemical Co., for 15 years.

Survived by: two daughters, Rebecca J. (LaVern) Bjorklund of Waterloo and Debra D. Roszell of Sumner, three sons, Larry L. (LaVonne) Roszell of Wheeler, Wis., Gary L. (Donna) Roszell of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Randy D. Roszell of St. Paul, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Phil (Nancy) Oren of Prescott, Ariz.; and a sister, Nancy (Gordon) Garrett of Apple Valley, Calif.

Preceded in death by: a son and daughter in infancy; a brother, Junior Oren; and two granddaughters, Melissa Roszell and Karen Beth Roszell.

Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, with inurnment in Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, in the spring. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
