CEDAR FALLS - Warren P. Truesdell, 72, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

He was born July 12, 1938 in Algona, son of Wayne and Rosina Shursen Truesdell.

He graduated from Titonka High School in 1957. He attended vocational school and was a linotype operator in the newspaper and publishing business in Hayfield, Austin, Minn., and Cedar Rapids. He moved to Cedar Falls in 1972 and worked at several businesses in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls area. He last worked at Red Lobster Restaurant in Cedar Falls.

Survived by: two sisters, Mary K. Christian of Sac City and Rebecca (Garry) Davies of Anchorage, Alaska; two nieces, Linda (Mark) Carlson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Barb (Mick) Shonsey of Omaha, Neb.; two nephews, Charles (Carolyn) Christian of Ankeny and Tom (Holly) Christian of Lake Crystal, Minn.; three great-nephews, Michael and Myles Shonsey of Omaha, and Brent Ortmeier of Nashville, Tenn.; three great-nieces, Meg Shonsey of Omaha, and Shelby and Jordan Ortmeier, both of Lake Crystal; a good friend and mentor, William Hartley; several cousins; and many friends in both Minnesota and Iowa.

Preceded in death by: a brother-in-law, Wilmer Christian.

Services: 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center, Cedar Falls, with burial in Ottosen at a later date. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Warren enjoyed teasing the wonderful staff at the Windsor Nursing Home, who provided exceptional care for him the last four years of his life.
