WATERLOO — Bryar Sue Gaede, 18, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 4, 1993, in Waterloo, daughter of Brant and DeAnna Durnin Gaede.

She was a senior at Waterloo West High School. She was active at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church where she was confirmed. She was involved with a work-experience program at West High, working at PetCo and as a teacher's aide for a fifth-grade class at Kingsley Elementary.

Survived by: her mother, DeAnna Durnin Gaede (Jeremy Blad); her father, Brant Gaede; a brother, Branndon; a sister and best friend, Bry-Ann; special friends, Chassidy, Christian, Lexi, and Brody; maternal grandparents, Sue and Howard Durnin; paternal grandparents, Teresa (Blaine) Hager and Dwayne Gaede; aunts and uncles, Shawn Edgar, Duane and Sharon Durnin, and Donita "Dolly" and Kevin Schults; cousins, Duane Jr. and Devann, and Cody and Cassie; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services Monday at the church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is assisting the family.

Memorial fund: has been established at Veridian Credit Union.

Bryar will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed her friends on Facebook, texting, fishing and being outdoors. She was a kind-hearted girl and everyone who knew her, loved her.
