TROTTER, BUSHBY, HELLER, MEYER

CEDAR FALLS — William R. "Bill" Trotter, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

He was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Fairbank, the son of Charles and Marjorie Bushby Trotter. He graduated from Maynard High School in 1947 and married Corinne Heller on Sept. 22, 1951, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Westgate.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a self-employed cement contractor and retired from Fagen Inc. of Granite Falls, Minn., in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Corinne of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Ann (Mark) Meyer of Cedar Falls; two sons, Tim of Waterloo and Dan (Donna) of Davenport; five grandchildren, Loren (Kim) Meyer of Waterloo, Lana (Kevin) Seiler of Ames, Natalie (Dave) Lubbers of Gilbert, Christina (Shaun) McDonough of Oceanside, Calif., and Kyle Trotter of Davenport; a great-granddaughter, Kamilla Corinne Meyer of Waterloo; a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Jim) Trotter of Boone; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Madalyn and Doris; and three brothers, James, Clyde and Warren. Bill, his mother and his siblings all died on a Saturday.

There will be no visitation, and no services. His body was deeded to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. A private family memorial service will occur at a later date in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Westgate.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, Christian Crusaders or organization of donor's choice.
