Rallying from the effects of gas from an accidently opened jet, Mrs. Charles Higgins, 80, rescued yesterday morning from the side of her dead husband, regained consciousness at midnight and probably will survive, if complications due to her age and physical condition, do not bring a collapse.

After being care for in the open air for severl hours yesterday, Mrs. Higgins was removed to the St. Francis Hospital. Respiration gradually grew stronger and 18 hours after being found in the gas-filled room attendants detected the first conscious response to mental appeal.
