MRS. CATHERINE CHATFIELD

Mrs. Catherine Chatfield, 79, widow of George W. Chatfield, and a resident of Waterloo since 1869, died at 1 p. m. Friday at Her home in Walnut Court apartments, from complications of age.

Catherine Stewart was born in Sterling Scotland, and came to the
United States when she was 17. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Roy Watklns, 308 Lafayette street; a son, George Chatfield, Racine, Wisconsin; two brothers, Charles Stewart, San Francisco, California, and John Stewart,
La Porte City; two sisters, Mrs. L. W. Purdle, and Margaret Stewart, San Francisco; also two grandchildren, Helen and Stewart Watkins, 308 Lafayette street.

The body is at the O'Keefe & Towne mortuary.
