Body of Pfc.
H. G. Foster
Due Tuesday

The body of Private First Class Howard G. Foster, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Foster, 2509 Kenyon Avenue, will arrive at Locke Funeral Home Tuesday about 5:30 p.m. for reburial here.

He was born near Nashua, Iowa, May 19, 1923. He attended school at Nashua, coming to Waterloo at the age of 19 to work in the food plant of Rath Packing Co.

He entered the service in February of 1943, training at Camp Howze, Texas, and received an honorable discharge October 7, 1943.

He was called back to the service March 31, 1944. Private Foster died of wounds received near Luxembourg December 18, 1944.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Surviving are his parents at home; four brothers, Vern, 361 California Street; Virgil, Marion, Iowa; Clayton, Anamosa, Iowa; Frank, 2445 Kenyon Avenue; three sisters, Mrs. Leo Abilbgaard, Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs Ralph Dillinger, 2200 Hawthorne Avenue, and Mrs. Carl Sommerfelt, 2509 Kenyon Avenue.

Funeral arrangements will be made at Locke Funeral Home.

NOTE: Burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.
