WATERLOO — David R. Hagemann, 74, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Dec. 26, at home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1936 in Waterloo, son of Edward and Edna Mensen Hagemann. He married Frances Burry on Oct. 18, 1958, in Waterloo.

Mr. Hagemann was employed with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 33 years, retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. He was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survived by: his wife; four sons, Tom (Rose) of Ankeny, Steve and John (Connie), both of Raymore, Mo., and Mark (Christine) of Lenexa, Kan.; two daughters, Julie (Bob) Delagardelle of Waterloo and Barb (Allen) Frost of Denver; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dan (Patty) of White Lake, Mich.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Betty Brown.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, with full military rites by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Iowa Army National Guard. Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 4 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Catholic Schools.
