CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Nancy Foster, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 18, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly.

She was born June 12, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of C. Drew and Margaret Wemple Jobson. She married Victor H. Foster on Jan. 15, 1946, in Bovingdon, England. He died Nov. 16, 1993.

Mrs. Foster attended business college and worked as a teacher's associate at Edison School for 18 years, retiring in 1985. She also had worked for the American Red Cross in England during World War II. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Cedar Falls; a volunteer for 50 years with the Hawkeye Chapter of American Red Cross; was a recipient of the Clara Barton Award from the Red Cross; and was named 2001 Philanthropist of the Year by the Hawkeye Chapter of the American Red Cross

Survived by: two sons, Kent (Karen) of Decorah and Kim (Anne) of St. Charles, Ill.; two daughters, Wendy (Lawrence) Wilson of Cedar Falls and Sharon (Edward) Snyder of Ankeny; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: two sisters Peggy Henninger and Carolyn; and two brothers, Tom and William Jobson.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Chapel at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, with burial in the cemetery. Public visitation from 1:30 p.m. until services Wednesday at the cemetery chapel. Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to St. Luke's Episcopal Church or Hawkeye Chapter American Red Cross.
