WATERLOO — Marie F. Hellman, 92, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 18, at Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 17, 1918, in Washburn, daughter of Richard and Sophia Youngblut O'Connor. She married Victor Hellman on Jan. 29, 1937, in Gilbertville. He died in 1977.

Survived by: three sons, Ron (Mary Ellen) of Waterloo, Joe (Helen) of Washburn and Jim (Carol) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Vicki (Wayne) Tapper of Shakopee, Minn., and Judy (Jerry) Kayser of Lanark, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Hellman of Cresco; 29 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Richard; a grandson, Joe Hellman; six brothers, Joseph, Abel, Francis, Leo, Paul and Gerald O'Connor; and six sisters, Dorothy, Anna and Virginia O'Connor, Pauline Thorpe, Florence Simons and Mildred Kirwin.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
