EVANSDALE - Rita M. Dickhoff, 66, of Evansdale, died Thursday, Nov. 25, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born June 28, 1944, in Waterloo, daughter of Delmar and Isabelle Barber Kammerdiner. She married James Dickhoff May 28, 1966, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died June 12, 1987.

She received her nursing degree and was employed with Covenant Medical Center for 28 years, as a nurse and in medical records.

Survived by: her life partner, Gerald Leahy of Evansdale; a daughter, Andrea of Evansdale; a stepdaughter, Kim (Steve) Jacobsen of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Jamee Berggren and Brandee Gerdes, both of Evansdale; and a brother, Paul Kammerdiner of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Eleanor Wilson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
