WATERLOO - Trula J. Caughron-Closson, 54, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 22, 1956, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Howard Jess and Joyce Cook Caughron. She married Ron Friedley on Feb. 2, 1974, in Waterloo, and they later divorced. She then married Bob Closson in Waterloo. He died in 2009.

She was a bartender at the Steamboat Garden for 15 years.

Survived by: two sons, Preston and Lucas, both of Waterloo; two daughters, Malea (Jamie) of San Antonio and Kizer (Tyrun) of Evansdale; nine grandchildren, Keyerah, Jaiden, Tyra, Sharun, Kitra, Tyuss, Isabelah, Presley and Kegan; her parents of Waterloo; a brother, Rodney Caughron of DeKalb, Ill.; and a sister, Kristy (Randy) Warm of Park View.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
