CEDAR FALLS — Richard C. Blake, 79, of Grinnell, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Oct. 30, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center, Marshalltown.

He was born April 7, 1931, in Mason City, son of Richard and Frances Colegrove Blake. He married Sally L. McCray on July 30, 1950, in Mason City.

He graduated from Mason City High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was an electrician at John Deere in Waterloo for more than 33 years.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Rick (Judy) of LeClaire; a daughter, Beckey (Terry) Anderson of Grinnell; two grandsons; and a brother, Kenny (Anita) of La Crosse, Wis.

Memorial services: 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, Grinnell.
