CEDAR FALLS - Stuart Gene Walgren, 66, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Oct. 29, at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

He was born Nov. 13, 1943, in Hay Springs, Neb., son of Gene Arthur and Gertrude Julian Petersen Walgren. He married Molly Pinneke Oct. 18, 1968, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

He was employed at John Deere, retiring on April 30, 1994. Following retirement he drove a bus for Cedar Falls Lutheran Home and Mallard Point.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Chad (Denise) and Derek (Kimberly) of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Katelyn, Rachel and Jonathan; his mother, Gertrude Walgren of Hay Springs, Neb.; a brother, Bruce (Donna) Walgren of Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Eunice (George) Foldesy III of Jonesboro, Ark., and Joanne Walgren of Carrollton, Texas; a nephew, George Foldesy IV; and a niece, Shawn Foldesy.

Preceded in death by: his father, Gene Walgren; a brother, Glen C. Walgren; paternal grandparents, Clyde and Elna May Walgren; and maternal grandparents, Bernard and Lydia Petersen.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John American Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
