LA PORTE CITY - Lowell Walter Buck, 45, of Madison, Wis., formerly of La Porte City, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, of a brief illness.

He was born Dec. 25, 1964, in Waterloo, son of Walter Buck and Barbra Jo Fleck.

Survived by: his loving friend, Kenny Birdwell of Sun Prairie, Wis.; his father, of La Porte City; his stepfather, Bill Fleck of La Porte City; his maternal grandmother, Maxine Stern of La Porte City; four brothers, Eric (Lisa) Buck of Waterloo, Boyd (Roxanne) Buck of Cedar Rapids, Toby Buck of Cedar Rapids and Trent Fleck of Minot, N.D.; four sisters, Loraina (Gary) Krop of La Porte City, Paula Gourley of Cedar Rapids, and Amy and Bobbi Jo; five nephews, Nathan, Lucus, Jeremy, Jarrett and Trevor; and two nieces, Zoie and Noelle.

Preceded in death by: his mother, Barbra Jo Fleck; his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Stern; and his paternal grandparents, Ivan and Vera Buck.

Celebration of Life: 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 20, at La Porte City Country Club.

Memorials: may be directed to Loraina Krop at 10802 Harmon Road La Porte City, IA 50651 to be donated to Hospice.

He will be remembered for his caring and warm personality, his smile that lit up the room and his love for family and friends especially his nieces and nephews.
