WATERLOO - Lester "Red" Dralle, 69, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., from a massive stroke.

He was born April 26, 1941, in Bristow, son of Viola Dralle Roberts. He married Alice Cannegieter on Aug. 1, 1959.

Mr. Dralle worked at Chech's Grocery Store while growing up, then was a salesman for Kirby Sweepers. He then worked at Rath Packing Co. and opened Red's Motors in the Evansdale/Waterloo area. He owned and operated Red's Motors and Limo Service for many years.

Survived by: three sons, Rick and Bruce, both of Waterloo, and Brian (Paola) of Porto Pozza, Italy; four grandchildren, Alicia, Marianna, Domenico and Nicholas, all of Porto Pozza; his mother of Grundy Center; three sisters, Connie Hensley of Waterloo, Mary (Barry) Block of Grundy Center and Susan Halfpop of Phoenix; two stepdaughters, Shelly and Deb; and his dog, Freeway.

Preceded in death by: a son Michael Lee; and maternal grandparents, Henry "Zeke" and Lotte Dralle.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial at a later date. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Red loved his sons, grandchildren, family and friends. Not only did he say whatever was on his mind, but with just a few short words you knew where he was coming from, you knew what he meant and you knew there was no regret - ever. Red will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
