WATERLOO - Grace J. Harrington, 92, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Sept. 30, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born April 18, 1918, in Waverly, daughter of Raymond and Agnes Ryan Egan. She married John M. Harrington on May 1, 1943, in Abeline, Texas. He died May 1, 2000.

She was employed with the Department of Human Services in Black Hawk County for seven years.

Survived by: two sons, Greg (Cece) of Waterloo and the Rev. Jay of St Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Lisa (Lyle) Christensen of Clive; three grandchildren, Katie (Matt) Larson of Basehor, Kan., Shawn (Crystal) Harrington of Cedar Falls and Branden Christensen of Clive; and four great-grandchildren, Tori and Drew Larson and Alexa and Andrew Harrington.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, William, Harry and Robert Egan.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fairbank. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. wake service. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
