WATERLOO — Doris J. Finney, 85, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, at her daughter's home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Scranton, daughter of Henry and Nettie Blum Johnson. She married Claire Duane Finney May 24, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan. He died Aug. 28, 2005.

She graduated from Scranton High School in 1942. Mrs. Finney was an administrative secretary for Schoitz Memorial Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1986, and was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church.

Survived by: two sons, Dr. Phillip (Evelyn) Finney of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Dr. Robert (Barbara) Finney of Shoreline, Wash.; two daughters, Cheryl (Haldean) Wilson of Indianola and Jacqueline (Thomas) Lekar of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Virgil Harold and Beryl Rumane Johnson; and a sister, Virginia Hoyle.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home.
