WATERLOO — Darrell M. “Pete” Watters, 81, of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 10, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Hudson, son of Raleigh and Agnes Faulkner Watters. He married Mary Lou Ostlie on Oct. 1, 1950, in Waterloo; she died Nov. 10, 2009.

Mr. Watters was owner/operator of Siberts Laundry & Dry Cleaning with Unique Cleaners until it sold in 1985. He then worked in property management until 2005.

Survived by: a daughter, Marianne (Andy) Doyle of Waterloo; three sons, Michael of Waterloo, David (Sue) of Cedar Falls and Dennis (Jackie) of Fort Dodge; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Oliphant of Waterloo; and two brothers, Elvin of Waterloo and Dale of Elk Run Heights.

Preceded in death by: an infant son, Jimmy; twin grandsons; a sisters Ethyl Aschenbrenner; and a brother, Gordy.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity American Lutheran Church, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation with the body present from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home.
