WATERLOO - Karen V. Winner, 65, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Aug. 26, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was born March 3, 1945, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Noble and Dagny Juhl Winner.

She graduated from Janesville High School in 1962 and from Gates Business College in 1963. She worked for Rath Packing Co. and John Deere Engine Works, in clerical positions, retiring in 2007.

Survived by: a brother, Charles Winner of Coralville; a niece, Caron (Gary) Scott of Cedar Rapids; a great-nephew, Ben of Cedar Rapids; a great-niece, Kaitlynn of Cedar Rapids; a stepgreat-niece, Brianna of Cedar Rapids; a stepniece, Lori (Alvin) Maklenburg of Manly; a stepnephew, Christopher (Pamela) Maklenburg of Donna, Texas; a stepgreat-niece, Samantha of Donna, Texas; two stepgreat-nephews, Michael and John Maklenburg of Manly; and an uncle, Frank Juhl of Highwood, Ill.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
