WATERLOO - M. Juanita Crew, 84, of Waterloo, died Friday, Aug. 6, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Tyrone, Mo., daughter of J. Shelby and Ina McKinney Lay. She married Gerald M. Crew June 8, 1956, in Waterloo. He died in February 2009.

She worked at Rath Packing Co., and Blacks Dept. Store in custom draperies.

Survived by: a son, Randy of California; a daughter, Jackie Crew of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Amber Buffington, Tyler Crew, Heather Northey and P.J. Crew; eight great-grandchildren, Breanna, Konner, Zach, Dylan, Aaron, Nathaniel, Nicholas and Brody; a brother, Lonnie Lay of Park Hills, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Dorris Crew of Waterloo and Vel Lay of Janesville; a brother-in-law, E.L. Carner of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: two sons, Gary and Scott; a grandson, David Crew; six brothers, Max, Harold, Jack, Gene, Jerry and Gayle; and two sisters, Marlys Carner and Donna Jean Lay.

Services: there will be no services. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Services on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
