CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Paul M. "Tall Paul" Larsen, 84, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, at home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Kesley, son of Marinus E. and A. Kristine Anderson Larsen. He married Arlene "Tiger" Larsen on Feb. 3, 1951, in Waterloo. She died Feb. 19, 2003.

Mr. Larsen was an organizer and field representative for AFL-CIO, former executive secretary of the Black Hawk Union Council AFL-CIO and 63-year member of United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters AFL-CIO, retiring in 1987. He was a past member of the Black Hawk County Conservation Board and the Cedar Falls Park and Rec Commission, a member of Cedar Falls AMVETS, the North Shore Boat Club and Main Street Social Club.

Survived by: three sons, John (Linda) and Kermit (Debra), both of Cedar Falls, and Martin (Deb) of New Hampton; a daughter, Kris Larsen of Chicago; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Gilbert and Harold Larsen; and a sister, Katherine Uhlenhopp.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, with a 7 p.m. vigil service.
