CEDAR FALLS - Vera A. Olsen Haurum, 93, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, July 23, in San Antonio.

She was born Sept. 25, 1916, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Inga Marie and Charles W. Olsen. She married Lester L. Haurum May 3, 1935. He died Feb. 12, 1976.

Vera learned to bowl in the 1940s in Iowa and spent many years bowling in leagues at AstroBowl and Oak Hills Lanes in Texas. She was a Lutheran by faith and a charter member of Shepherd King Lutheran Church.

Survived by: a daughter, Nancy (Cleve) Stover; three grandchildren Cleve (Ana) Stover III, Scott (Suzanne) Stover and Stephanie Stover; and a great-grandson, Ryan Stover.

Preceded in death by: two infant sons; and two sisters, Irma A. Johnson and Alta M. Fredericksen.

Graveside service: will be held in the fall in Cedar Falls. Porter Loring, San Antonio, is assisting the family.

She had many bowling friends whose company she enjoyed over the many years. She was deeply devoted to her family.

Memorials: may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
