WATERLOO — Russell Duane Graesch, 82, of Ponca City, Okla., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 14, in Oklahoma.

He was born March 12, 1928, St. Sebal, son of Albert and Leta Starr Phelps Graesch. He married Dorothy Mae Graesch on March 19, 1949.

Mr. Graesch served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an avid bowler and inducted into the Ponca City Bowling Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma State Bowling Hall of Fame in 1996. He served as president of Ponca City Bowling Association, president of Oklahoma State Bowling Association and president of Southwest Bowling Association.

Survived by: three children, Cheryl Lynn Goldman of Edmond, Okla., Duane Ross Graesch of Tulsa, Okla., and Patricia Sue Wallace of Enid, Okla.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Florence Fuhrman of Aurora, Walter Graesch of Fairbanks, Elenora Hill (Harvey) of Oelwein and Helen Trower (Bernard) of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: an infant brother, Robert Graesch; a brother, Floyd Graesch; two sisters-in-laws; a brother-in-law; and a great-granddaughter, Shanley Kelly.

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Saturday at IOOF Cemetery, Ponca City. Public visitation today at Smith & Kernke, Oklahoma City.
