WATERLOO — Michael P. Standiford, 49, of Waterloo, died Monday, July 12, at Covenant Medical Center of a brain hemorrhage.

He was born Sep. 28, 1960, in Waterloo, son of Phillip and Maria Groh Standiford. He married Barb Webb on June 5, 1982, in Waterloo.

He was employed at Porta-Vet Industries in Hudson for 28 years until May 2009 when the business closed.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Adam of Waterloo; a daughter, Allison of Waterloo; his parents of Elk Run Heights; and two brothers, Jim (Mary) of La Porte City and Phil Jr. of Hanlontown.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Heartland Vineyard Church, with burial in Garden Of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his numerous friends and of course Shadow, our black Lab. Mike was always the type of man that would always be there if you needed someone. Truly a great man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
